Week 1: Breakfast, Snack & Dinner

Author Albertsons Market | August 1, 2024

Going back-to-school isn’t just about lunches! It’s everything from getting the kids school supplies, to a new morning routine to get them fed and out the door, to coordinating what will be for dinner and will it be before or after practice. There are so many different scenarios and we are here to help you make that routine a little easier. Each week we’ll give you ideas for fun Breakfast, Snack & Dinner options.

Breakfast: Super Cool Smoothie Station

Set up a “smoothie station” with various fruits and yogurt. Include walnuts as a way to boost omega-3 ALA (2.5g/oz). Allow kids to blend their own concoction in a blender or smoothie maker.

Snack: Watermelon Pizza

Make watermelon pizza. Cut a thick slice, top it with feta cheese, onions, basil and a drizzle of balsamic. Or top with yogurt and diced fruit. Slice for a healthy pizza your kids will love.

Dinner: Texas Caviar    Texas-Caviar-RM-

Take our Texas caviar recipe and add chopped pork tenderloin or pork chop to it. Serve with chips or celery for a delicious and filling dinner
