Keep the Decor Simple

Don’t overthink it, when it comes to creating a traditional look, simplicity is key. Set your table with earth tones and classic serveware and flatware to make it look authentic and warm. You can add textured accents like woven chargers to enhance your look without making it look busy. Finish your place settings with colorful pumpkins that adds originality, without looking too over-the-top.

Holiday Pro-Tip: Instead of a tablecloth, use a piece of butcher paper and lay out crayons or download one of our coloring sheets to keep the kids occupied when they’re done eating.

Add a Leafy Centerpiece

Bring your table to life by swapping out a traditional table runner for a homespun/rustic centerpiece. A leafy charger will add a little pop of green to your table. This will also help cut out the larger centerpieces such as a vase, that can sometimes deter conversations across the table.

Holiday Pro-Tip: After dinner is over, move your floral charger to your mantel to continue utilizing it even after all your leftovers are gone.

Let Us Do the Cooking

Hosting a traditional Thanksgiving meal doesn’t mean you have to be glued to the kitchen hours in advance or even the day before. Albertsons’ team of homestyle cooks have put together a Thanksgiving menu your family and friends will love. From fully-cooked turkeys and hams to gourmet side dishes like mashed potatoes with gravy, praline sweet potatoes, cranberry relish, homestyle cornbread dressing, and green beans, we have something to suit everyone’s taste. Best part? You don’t have to be stuck in the kitchen the whole time!

Holiday Pro-Tip: Cooking a turkey yourself? That can seem like a daunting task. Ask our experts in the meat market for tips on cooking turkey and how to make sure it doesn’t dry out.
