Makes 32-40

Author note: The patties can be drizzled with the melted chocolate instead of dipped. If no chocolate is desired, simply serve as a peppermint cream. The amount of patties made depends on how large you make them.

3 1/2 cups powdered sugar, plus more for dusting

3/4 cup condensed milk

1 tsp peppermint extract

24 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips

Place the sugar and peppermint extract Into a bowl made for mixing. Beat with an electric mixer, while slowly adding the condensed milk. Once a smooth stiff dough (similar to Play-Doh) is formed, stop adding the condensed milk.

Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Dust with sifted powdered sugar. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place onto the sheet pan. Flatten with the palm of your hand. Place into the fridge and let dry for 2 hours or let sit at room temperature for 2 to 3 hours, flipping halfway through.

Melt the chocolate, either in the microwave or in a double boiler.

Gently dip the patties, either half whole, into the chocolate. Place back onto the sheet pan and let dry for at least 30 minutes.

Place into an airtight container and store in the fridge until ready to serve.

Merry Christmas!
